9 GPT-5 Tasks For UI/UX
ChatGPT just got smarter - Supercharge Your Workflow!
I’ve been testing ChatGPT-5’s capabilities for UI/UX tasks, and i found quite a noticeable improvement over ChatGPT-4.
Here’s a breakdown of the most substantial improvements in my process, these are only the tasks that I find have improved over GPT-4.
1: Multi-Modal Design Briefs

Before: GPT-4 could read your design doc or look at your screenshot… but not both together in the same thought process.
Now: GPT-5 can take your Figma export, your style guide PDF, and your messy notes, all at once, and give you coherent recommendations without losing context.
2: Visual Annotations on Your UI

Upload a screen, and GPT-5 can literally point at the issues, spacing problems, color contrast fails, inconsistent button shapes.
No more “In the top-right, maybe that button is too small?”, it’ll annotate it, that means it will give you a downloadable file with the exact design and with annotations added to the image. Crucially, this does not use image generation, so it is not recreating your design, it’s adding annotations to the actual image file.
3: End-to-End UX Process in One Thread
In GPT-4, you’d start strong but lose steam, it forgot your earlier research by the time you reached wireframing.
In GPT-5, You can go from analyzing analytics → suggesting UX improvements → drafting wireframes → writing dev handoff docs… all in one conversation without repeating yourself.
4: Design System Checks

Paste your tokens and component rules, and GPT-5 will flag violations in your designs in as many screens as you upload.
It will accurately point out any discrepancies between your UI and your design system without hallucinating.
5: Pixel-Perfect UI Prompts
If you’ve tried generating UIs with AI before, you know GPT-4 loved to… improvise.
GPT-5 gives you detailed, structured UI descriptions that tools like UXPilot can render with way less trial and error.
6: Cross-Tool Context Retention

Jump from Figma feedback → writing Jira tickets → updating your Notion doc. GPT-5 remembers the project details without a recap.
It’s like having a PM who never forgets what you said three meetings ago.
7: Realistic Usability Test Simulation

You can now simulate “a 65-year-old with low vision trying to complete checkout” and GPT-5 will walk through the journey step-by-step, telling you exactly where they’d get stuck.
It’s surprisingly good at emotional feedback too, “I feel frustrated here” actually makes sense now.
8: On-Brand UX Writing Variants
Upload your tone-of-voice guide and GPT-5 can instantly give you microcopy consistent with your brand.
This makes sure that the outcome always matches our product voice.
9: Powerpoint Presentations

With GPT-4 agent mode creating powerpoint presentations was possible, but the quality of the presentations was very bad.
Now GPT-5 agent mode creates much better looking presentations with a lot more details and visuals.
